Seven. Three. One.

A fifth edition DUNGEONS & DRAGONS campaign.

“To Commander Eldarian Al’maire, and the saints of Lathander in Baldur’s Gate, I salute you and hope this letter finds you standing faithful in the light of the Morning Lord.”

“It has been 41 days since the founding of Sanctuary in the High Moor. This land is infested with manticores, ankheg, and bulette. Beyond that, as you know, the great dracolich Calathanorgoth still resides in the area and terrorizes it as his domain.”

“We have fortified the Church as you ordered and rebuilt the walls. We have done the same with the watchtower and mortuary. We have consecrated the ground and placed holy relics of Lathander within the chapel.”

“I am displeased to report that the nightmares shared by me and the rest of the clergymen persist. We continue to dream of three numbers, those being seven, three, and one. The dreams are dreadful with only a whispered voice chanting the numbers in the darkness. We all experience the same nightmare. We believe that some devil inhabits the area near Sanctuary and seeks to drive us out through fear.”

“We will not be deterred. We know that doubt, fear, and disinformation are the tools of demons and devils. We call on the light of the Morning Lord and ask Lathander to strengthen us as we do his good work.”

“Our greatest concern is for the task of reclaiming the cemetery and tombs. Our attempts have been met with packs of undead that emerge from the East, harrowing our efforts. Therefore, we have sent out a call for adventurers, slayers of the undead, holy men and women, paladins, clerics, and monks who will assist us in our efforts.”

“Commander, we pray that Lathander will shine on us, and we will succeed where do many others have failed. We hope to establish a foothold in this dark region of the Western Heartlands that will drive back the Evil that infested the High Moor.”

“Pray for us. Our struggle is great. We will fight the good fight. We will keep the faith.”
